The Anjo group of companies has been trading in Antigua for over 100 years, until 1985, the companies were operated as privately owned by the Anjo family.
In order to facilitate the continued expansion of the group, the then owner and managing director, Mr. John R. Anjo OBE, formed an umbrella Company under the name of A. W. H. Holdings, a limited company that now own and operates all of the divisions in the group.
The directors and shareholders of the group are also the active managers of the individual divisions. Each director is Antiguan and has over 30 years experience with each division. They all have extensive knowledge of the group of companies and of their particular market.
A. W. H. Holdings now has three divisions - Insurances, Wholesale, and Head Office - and is staffed by over seventy persons.
Our head office, on High Street, comprising a staff of 8 persons, provides accounting services as well as customs clearing of merchandise for the Wholesale division. Accounting is also provided for United Insurance Company Ltd (Now Massy United Insurance). Personnel and administrative services including information systems are furnished to the group from this office.
